About Us
A bridge from crisis toward stability
Starting Pointe of Tennessee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Middle Tennessee.
Our Mission
Why we exist
Our mission is to provide compassionate, quality, safe, and affordable housing and supportive services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability throughout Middle Tennessee.
We help individuals move from crisis toward stability by addressing the barriers that contribute to homelessness and connecting people with the resources, relationships, and opportunities they need to move forward.
We serve individuals facing complex barriers, including mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring challenges.
Our Vision
What we are working toward
A Middle Tennessee where every individual and family experiencing homelessness or housing instability has access to safe, affordable housing, compassionate support, meaningful opportunities, and the resources necessary to build a stable, independent, and hopeful future.
What We Believe
Housing is more than a roof. It is a starting point.
With stable housing and compassionate support, individuals can begin addressing the challenges that have kept them from moving forward. We meet people where they are, treat every person with dignity and respect, and help them identify practical steps toward a healthier and more stable future.
Faith
Believing in the possibility of restoration and a better future.
Compassion
Meeting people with understanding, patience, and care.
Dignity
Treating every individual with respect and recognizing their inherent worth.
Accountability
Encouraging responsibility, growth, and positive choices.
Hope
Helping people see that their circumstances do not have to define their future.
Our Commitment
Focused on connection
Starting Pointe of Tennessee is committed to helping individuals and families overcome barriers, rebuild their lives, and discover a renewed sense of purpose and hope.
We recognize that lasting change rarely happens alone. That's why we focus on connection—connecting people to safe housing, supportive relationships, community resources, healthcare, recovery services, education, employment opportunities, and other tools that can help them create a stronger future.
